I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Playskool. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
The clutter. Oh, the clutter. And the worst of it is in my car. I feel like every time we go anywhere, we bring everything we own, and it rarely gets taken back into the house. Well, on our last trip, we tried a new strategy to keep ourselves
sane more organized: the all-new “stow and go” travel toys from PLAYSKOOL.
Consumer feedback led PLAYSKOOL to develop this line of toys, carefully designed to offer solutions that offer parents both time and space savings while also offering kids lots of opportunities to play and learn. All things that appeal directly to my personal priorities right now, and if you’re reading this, I’m guessing that sounds pretty good to you, too.
Let me assure you – the toys don’t disappoint. My youngest is on the older end of the age group for most of these, but she loves them all and her 5-year-old brother actually likes to play with them with her. I think he really liked figuring them out, since each one is so richly designed to provide the maximum hand-eye coordination and fine motor skill development in a minimum amount of space.
Each of the new PLAYSKOOL travel toys is lightweight, compact, storable and portable, perfect for busy days, long trips, playdates or waiting rooms. My schedule is hectic and constantly changing, so we’re often faced with unexpected stops, appointments, reroutes. To have adorable, storable, portable toys along that are specifically designed to fit into a stroller pocket, diaper bag, even a jacket pocket? Well, that could seriously make or break our day.
But enough talk – let me tell you about the toys!
Let’s start with…DRESSY KIDS (2 years and up)
Zip, button, buckle, fasten and tie with Dressy Kids! This fun friend encourages independent dressing skills, comes with a clip so he can hang on your stroller or bag and (yay!) he’s machine washable!
FOLD ‘N GO ELEPHANT (3 months and up)
The elephant! Oh, how we love the Fold ‘n Go Elephant. At first glance, you see a soft, friendly elephant face, but once you undo the velcro and pop the rest of the elephant out, there’s SO much to play with! A peek-a-boo flower, squeaker, crinkle fabric, mirror, and a clicking dial to turn, along with lots of colors, textures, patterns and a pocket with a heart full of beads to hide. And it all tucks neatly back into the elephant’s head when baby’s done playing!
The “hidden” benefit? When your elephant is all closed up, it stays CLEAN! Bonus.
POP-UP SHAPE SORTER (18 months and up)
This one is my daughter’s favorite, and you’d better believe it packs a whole lot of play into one compact, travel-friendly toy. Playskool used every opportunity to add a little bit of extra play potential here, even with the pictures printed on the 4 shapes. Each shape breaks into 2 parts: one with an animal, and one with that animal’s food. Every time my daughter plays, I hear her, “The bunny loves he carrot. The puppy loves he bone.” Makes me laugh every time.
This one really speaks for itself, so here’s a peek:
…and finally, ROLL ‘N GEARS CAR (12 months and up)
It’s a car. It’s gears. It’s a 2-in-one sort, stack and spin toys for little engineers. Play with it closed or open to help baby hit milestones related to fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and cause and effect.
