Everyone loves a good kiss now and then, but when it comes to Hershey, PA, the chocolate is just the beginning! The town of Hershey is one of our favorite family-friendly PA travel destinations for so many reasons, especially when the sunshine returns each spring.
The Sweetest PA Travel Destination
You can be among the first to experience what Hershey has to offer each year with the official debut of the park for the season, also known as Springtime in the Park (specific dates can be found here.) The one-price admission includes access to more than 50 of the Park’s rides and attractions, admission to live entertainment shows, and entrance to ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park.
In time for Springtime in the Park, Hersheypark has added a Moe’s Southwest Grill featuring fresh southwestern food as well as The Outpost, which features gluten, nut and dairy-free items and vegetarian options. Big props to Hershey for recognizing how important each and every visitor is and providing choices to ensure something for everyone.
Oh, and if you’ve got a sweet tooth, look for Makin’ Whoopie Pies, new chocolate bark varieties, bigger and better milkshakes, and SO much more!
Of course, the rides speak for themselves – iconic roller coasters, the Kissing Tower, the classic carousel, the crazy fun Laff Trakk and so many more.
They’re even pretty to look at!
Admission is $32.95 for ages 9 to 54, $22.95 for ages 3 to 8 and ages 55 and older, and free for children 2 and younger. Tickets may be purchased in advance online at Hersheypark.com or at local participating Giant Food stores.
Guests wishing to extend their stay can choose from The Hotel Hershey or Hershey Lodge which both offer overnight packages for Springtime in the Park. I’ve stayed at both, and you can’t go wrong with either choice! (Keep an eye out for the chocolate butter…yum.)
But it doesn’t end there!
If you don’t make Springtime in the Park, don’t worry – the park’s summer hours begin May 1st and you can see them here. There’s plenty of time to start planning!
And as much as we LOVE these guys…
…we’re just as excited about all the other things we can do in Hershey throughout the whole season!
The park is a must, but there are so many other “can’t miss” attractions in Hershey – The Hershey Story, The Museum on Chocolate Avenue, and Hershey’s Chocolate World are just a few.
And no trip to Hershey is complete without a trip to my own personal favorite, Hershey Gardens. Rolling gardens full of seasonal blooms will take your breath away. It’s a treasure for all ages, so stroll through with every member of the family and just take it in…
Tulips are not yet in bloom, but you can check on their progress at HersheyGardens.org. Catch them if you can
