Meet Minted: A Global Marketplace for Indie Artists

I received a gift card from Minted in exchange for my thoughts. All opinions are my own.

A few days ago, I received an email from Minted that caught my eye.  They thought maybe my readers might like to hear more about them, and while I knew I liked what I had seen of their products, I admittedly didn’t know much. My first thought? Oh, sure…that invitation site. They make nice stuff, but what am I going to write about invitations?

When I responded, they said, “Oh no, we thought you might like to write about our art prints.” So I took a look. And a full hour of intense browsing later, I had huge list of prints to show you, and an even bigger wishlist for my home!

Yup, in addition to tons of gifts, holiday and special occasion cards, back-to-school essentials and more, Minted has an incredible selection of art prints for your walls in their art marketplace.

So what’s the big deal about the wall art from Minted? Well, this is what got me – how they source their designs. I saw this mention of independent artists, and immediately knew this was a great find.

Meet Minted: A Globale Marketplace for Indie Artists

I have so many friends who are artists, and I love the idea that Minted works hard to give them a platform to sell their work and cultivate their talent.

The goal at Minted is to connect great artists with the consumers who appreciate their work. They make it happen through an easy submission process, competitions that allow you to vote, and a platform to help artists earn a portion of every sale. Just visit their site to learn more about the process and submit your artwork. Or just stop by and vote for your favorites!

Blue has been my color of choice lately, and I seem to want to fill both my home and wardrobe with it. Here are a few favorites that I would hang in a heartbeat:

The selections go from light, airy and abstract to colorful and quirky. Garden themes, geometric prints, children’s art, you name it. I challenge anyone to search through and not find at least one perfect print for their home!

Lots of contemporary graphic prints and even a few things for us word nerds…

Minted also makes custom art (think weddings, nurseries, family heirlooms), foil-print art, even beautiful fabrics by the yard featuring unique designs that are also sourced from a global community of independent designers. They’re building a community, and they want us to be a part of it.

I’m in – how about you?

How do you choose your wall art? Which Minted print is your favorite?

WOW! So many lovely prints. I just go by what moves me when it comes to art. There is no science. It is all feeling.

I really like the blue abstract piece by Rose Lindo. It looks like it could produce a different visual from various angles. I like pieces that don’t get stagnant.

All of these prints are beautiful. My favorite print is the one with Steph Ryan. I love the simple portrayal of the apple blossoms.
