I am a Hershey Resorts and Entertainment #SweetestMoms Ambassador. Hersheypark in the Dark, a Hersheypark Halloween event, opens October 19th!
It’s time for some sweet and spooky fun once again in the sweet town of Hershey, PA, and there’s no better place to look for fun Halloween events for the whole family than right inside Hersheypark! Hersheypark in the Dark is a seasonal overhaul of the park you know and love, with Halloween-themed surprises around every corner. And yes, that includes fabulous fall foods like Pumpkin Pie Milkshakes, Pot Roast Fries, hot apple cider and pumpkin funnel cakes!
A HERSHEYPARK HALLOWEEN
The Halloween fun in Hershey is only here for THREE weekends this fall. Get your fall fix Fridays through Sundays from October 19–29, and November 2–4.
We hit Hersheypark in the Dark every year, and it just keeps getting better and better. The carousel plays Halloween songs like Monster Mash and Ghostbusters, the characters are all decked out in costume, and the kids can scare up treats on the Trick-or-Treat Trail, which has 13 stops! And you KNOW they’re getting the best candy. It is Hershey, after all! Don’t forget to wear your costumes!
Adult tickets are just $39.95 and kids ages 3–8 are $29.95.
Overall, you’ll find more than 55 rides, attractions and entertainment, including 13 coasters (Laff Trakk will be running in the dark, and 3 wooden coasters – Wildcat, Comet and Lightning Racer – will have no lights for the last hour of operation.) Plus, the Misfit Mummies, a creepy band of groovin’ mummy performers!
New This Year: 2018
If you want something a little more savory to eat, there’s a special hops and harvest menu from Spring Creek Smokehouse and Country Grille, and it changes each weekend. Think loaded tots and fries, turkey legs, and apple butter chicken with Yuengling BBQ sauce. You’ll find a feast of fall and beer/cider flights in the new Yuengling 1829 Patio & Pavilion, with live entertainment on Saturday evenings.
There’s also a daily character Glow Party inside the park (next to Dispatch Pizzeria at 7:30pm), and as usual, the characters will be in their best Halloween costumes!
Creatures of the Night at ZooAmerica
When you purchase a one-price admission ticket to Hersheypark In The Dark, you’ll also get access to ZooAmerica where Creatures of the Night experience is happening now (after 6pm). You’re invited to bring your own flashlight, and if you prefer separate admission, you can do that, too. Just enter through the Zoo’s off-street entrance.
So here it is, folks. The absolute best Halloween event of the season, especially if you’re a little more into sweet than scary. But time is short – Hersheypark in the Dark only lasts for three weekends this fall.
