Frozen Yogurt Bar Granola Parfaits: A 5-minute Snack Hack!

Now that school is back in session, I’m on the hunt for healthy snack ideas. Not just for the kids, but for me, too. I’m the first to admit that when life gets busy, I tend to fall into a rut of grabbing what’s easy and within arm’s reach – and I’m starting to really feel that. I’ve kind of lost my “shine” when it comes to making better-for-us choices, and bleh! It doesn’t feel good! So when we do come up with a healthy snack like these Frozen Yogurt Granola Parfaits made with Outshine Bars, it’s definitely one of those little wins that makes me feel like I’m doing something right.

Frozen Yogurt Bar Parfaits
Some nights, we literally have 20 minutes between getting home and heading back out for soccer practice or school events, so the key to finding the after-school snacks that work for us is EASY. So when the folks at Outshine asked us to share our best after-school snack hacks, I jumped in with both feet.

My kids love Outshine bars, especially the yogurt bars, and I feel good about tossing them in the cart every time I hit up my local grocery store. Why? Because Outshine fruit bars are made with real fruit or fruit juice and non-GMO ingredients, and the yogurt bars are made with 100% yogurt.

With ingredients like that, each bar is a mindful snack that allows us to snack a little better and shine a little brighter. As a mom, I’m all about it.

Plus, there’s a lot of hidden value in sitting down for a moment and sharing a fun snack with your kids. That’s when we talk, catch up, share stories about our day, and generally check in with each other. During busy times of the year, it’s good to be mindful of that quality time, too. And trust me…try this quick Outshine bar snack hack once and you’ll be more than willing to pull up a chair again next time. These little cups are DELISH!

Aren’t they pretty, though?

Outshine Bar Snack Hack

The really fun part about eating your frozen yogurt bar this way is that once the bar starts to melt–which it needs to do for the parfait to really come together–the stick becomes your spoon!

The kids will love it. Since the bars are 100% real yogurt, I’m not opposed to serving this as a special breakfast treat, too.

Can you imagine? I can’t think of a brighter way to start the day!
