Quick Maple Cinnamon Drop Biscuits

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, leveled
  • 1 stick of cold butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ Teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 scant cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet or stone with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, pulse flour, butter, baking powder, cinnamon and salt until crumbly. Add milk and maple syrup and pulse a few more times until mixture is moistened, but do not overmix.
  3. Scoop dough out onto baking sheet in 6 even parts. (Drop with a scoop, or roll into balls with hands for a more uniform shape.) Bake until golden brown, approx. 18–20 minutes.
