Remember this cute little guy? It’s the ZINK hAppy photo printer. The last time you saw it here, I was making a seed library craft for kids.
In case you didn’t catch it the first time, here’s a little bit about the ZINK hAppy Smart App Printer™.
What is it? Well, it’s a portable, Wi-Fi® printer that lets you design and print directly from your smartphone or tablet. Print what? Anything you can design using all those photos on your phone and the easy-to-use smartphone/tablet app (more on that below.) It’s an entire design studio, right at your fingertips.
The ZINK printer has become one of our favorite crafting tools because it’s so easy for the kids to use, and because it doesn’t require ink cartridges. The unique Zroll paper lets you make a sticker out of any photo, and you can design so many things with the app, like ID stickers for lunchboxes or backpacks, small invitations, trading photos for friends, even selfie strips! (Create that old photo booth feeling at home!)
So now that we’re approaching the holidays, I decided that it’s only right to use the ZINK to make some gifts for our family and friends. Since my mom is making Thanksgiving dinner, I spent last night making some cute wine glass charms to give as gifts on the holiday table.
You could approach these several ways. Since we’ll be at the grandparents’ house, I made our charms with photos of the kids. If you’re having a larger party, you could use photos of your guests so they can keep track of their glasses. Or, if you’re hosting a Friendsgiving celebration, you could give everyone a photo charm of a favorite memory you share.
Now my wheels are really turning…I have to make more of these!
But no worries. The great thing about the ZINK hAppy printer is that you can do elaborate projects, or easy ones like this that only take a few minutes.
You’ll just need some hoop earrings (like you would find at the jewelry making section at the craft store.) While you’re there, pick up some charm settings (they look like tiny photo frames) and some other embellishments, like the JOY charm in my photo. Hint: check the clearance rack. I always find cute charms there!
All you have to do is set your ZINK printer to print a photo at the exact size you need, then peel and stick! It’s that easy. Use your earring hoop to attach the charms to wine glasses around the table, and sit back and watch everyone delight in their gift. What an easy, yet thoughtful, way to show how thankful you are for those you love.
Wait, you don’t have a ZINK?
Well, what are you waiting for? These are a crafter’s dream! Grab your ZINK hAppy Smart App Printer featuring Zink Zero Ink Technology before the holidays and start making gifts now. (And fill your old lockets with those tiny photos you never seem to have! Smart, right? My kids love mine!)
