Get Excited for Disney·Pixar’s COCO!

Have you heard about the upcoming Disney•Pixar film, COCO? This is exciting stuff, my friends. Disney•Pixar films are on regular rotation in our home for movie night, and we’re always super excited to welcome a new family film into the fold. In COCO, aspiring musician Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) teams up with charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal) on an extraordinary journey through the Land of the Dead.

If you liked Toy Story 3, Monsters University, some of the same team is responsible for bringing you that same magic again in COCO. Good sign of things to come, right?

  • Voice Cast: Gael García Bernal, Anthony Gonzalez, Benjamin Bratt, Renée Victor
  • Director: Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3)
  • Co-director: Adrian Molina (Monsters University)
  • Producer: Darla K. Anderson (Toy Story 3)

Disney Pixar COCO

Here’s the synopsis of COCO, straight from Disney•Pixar:

Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.

COCO Movie

I wasn’t sure what to think about this particular film at first, but Disney has started sending out some little peeks, and I’m sold! (Big surprise, right?) I think my son will love this one a ton, too. Take a look at the new COCO trailer I just scored, and let me know what you think:

Like COCO on Facebook and  Twitter to catch updates on the film, and visit the official COCO website for more details!

COCO opens in theatres everywhere on November 22nd.
