I received admission to Kinky Boots at Hershey Theater at no cost. All opinions are my own.
The Broadway production of Kinky Boots has landed in Hershey, PA, and dare I say – this is the show people need to see now.
I’m beyond thankful to live within a short drive of Hershey, PA, where I can build so many family memories each year. You might already know that we spend a lot of time at Hersheypark and we love to visit the official resorts located close by, but another sweet destination we treasure is the historic Hershey Theater. I’ve been to several shows there, mainly kids’ shows, and they always blow us away.
This time around, the show I saw was all grown up, featuring the cast of the touring Broadway company, now in it’s 5th year.
Inspired by true events, the story of Kinky Boots boils down to a man named Charlie Price and his struggle with living up to his father’s expectations and his relationship with an unforgettable performer named Lola. But it’s so much more than that. It’s a story of friendship, authenticity, acceptance, and a serious look at what it means to be a man. (And a woman, for that matter.)
In addition to being a mind-opening experience, Kinky Boots is also a wild, sparkling, high-heeled extravaganza of dance, music, pride, and the most glamourous boots you’ll ever lay eyes on.

Plus, it was written by Harvey Fierstein (of La Cage Aux Folles) and features a killer lineup of songs by the one and only Cyndi Lauper. You just can’t go wrong. I wasn’t permitted to take photos during the show, but if you head over to IG and search the #KinkyBoots hashtag, you’ll see photos galore.

In short, this is a top-notch Tony® award-winning show with a cast that SLAYS, and you don’t have to drive into NYC to see it. It’s in Hershey, PA right NOW, and it’s waiting for you through Dec. 3rd at the beautiful, historic Hershey Theater.
…and that’s not all!
