Blooming Bath: My New Favorite Baby Product!

~ This is a review post for which I received a complimentary product sample~

Lately, bathtime has us all smiling from ear to ear.

Well, Little E doesn’t smile much yet (at 5 weeks, she’s just starting) but I sure do! Especially when I see her snuggled inside her Blooming Bath – a big, bright, soft flower made to hold your baby safely in the sink during bathtime.

Isn’t it just the cutest?

But the benefits of the Blooming Bath go far, far beyond the cute. This is one of the smartest products I’ve seen in a long time, and it’s quickly risen to the very top of my favorites list.

Blooming Bath solves the problem of how to bath your baby during those months before sitting up in the tub is an option. With our first, we used one of those plastic reclining tubs that sits inside the big tub, but it always killed my back to lean over and bathe him. And during the postpartum weeks when I was still in pain, it was nearly impossible. Plus, a wet, soapy baby in a plastic tub can be a slippery safety hazard. With the Blooming Bath, there’s no danger of baby slipping or banging her head, and you have the added advantage of being able to use the sink sprayer, which is helpful for you and soothing for your little one.

See how the Blooming Bath fits all nice and snug down into the bottom of the sink? It’s super soft and bendable, so it can easily adjust to sinks of different sizes and shapes.

The material doesn’t hold a lot of water like a sponge, but it does hold a little, so I like to spray the petals with warm water before putting baby in. That way, she’s surrounded by a nice warm flower petal hug while she’s bathed. I cover her belly with a warm washcloth or Bath Luve, too, and she stays nice and calm the whole time.

See…she’s so relaxed we even got a big yawn! It’s so nice to enjoy a leisurely bath instead of rushing through because she’s crying, and when we’re done she’s relaxed enough for baby massage.

The Blooming Bath was developed by four dads who saw a need and developed the right product to fill it. (Thanks, guys!) The product quality is remarkably good, and I honestly can’t think of an improvement I’d make to the Blooming Bath. This just might become my favorite new baby shower gift. It’s unique, and it’s a definite eye-catcher. Everyone who has seen it has asked me a bunch of questions and commented on what a great idea it is. Then, I agree and tell them how much I love it. 🙂

A few facts about Blooming Bath:

  • Parent Tested, Parent Approved winner and recipient of their recognition seal
  • Naturally antimicrobial foam interior and fabrics – no chemicals
  • Easy to wash
  • Convenient hang tag for air drying or place in dryer to dry
  • Available in 4 vibrant colors: yellow, blue, pink or ivory

I love the Blooming Bath! I was always so scared to bathe my newborn/baby! Babies skin is always so slippery! She looks very comfy! 🙂

This is so cute!!!! Your little one does look like she is enjoying it so much!! I too tried the plastic seat in the bathtub … unless the water was pretty high, my daughter seemed to get chilly pretty quickly, so I always rushed. Plus, like you said, bending down in the bathtub isn’t very comfortable! I would love to try the Blooming Bath with #2! 🙂

When you are breastfeeding, the last thing you want to do is hunch over the side of the tub- I keep seeing this thing wondering… where was this with my last few babies!? I’d love to use this with my new little man who is due next month.

Wow, thank you so much for this review. I will make sure to get this bathtub if I am ever lucky enough to have another baby (we’ve been trying for sometime, but it’s been rather difficult). I really like how I can put it into the dryer to dry. We had a problem with our tub we had with dd getting a little moldy since we live in FL, and it’s so stinking humid here. Thank you again.

These are so cute! A friend of mine just got one and she isn’t very excited about it. I might try to convince her to pass it on after her littles outgrown it. I think they make for fun first bath photos!

Oooo! I am liking this! I think I will have to try it out! Thanks for sharing!! I was wondering how it’d work with a tiny (brand new) baby. Glad to see it works well and doesn’t let them just fall down in the sink! And MUCH nicer to bathe in the sink than crouch over the bath tub, especially right after having a baby! 🙂
