Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story

Our Berenstain Bears Easter book and giveaway were sponsored by Zonderkidz.

What’s so special about The Berenstain Bears? I’m not sure I can even put my finger on it, but one look at a Berenstain Bears book and I’m a kid again. I had stacks of them as an early reader, and my kids are always happy to hear them again and again. Each book provides a lesson (like using manners, listening to grown-ups, or being kind to others) in a relatable, kid-friendly way. I’ve often used them as a tool to help me get a point across to my kids, but really, I just love the illustrations and nostalgia in each book about Mama, Papa, Brother, Sister and Honey Bear.

About The Berenstain Bears

Stan and Jan Berenstain published the first Berenstain Bears book in 1962, and the series has gone on to capture the hearts and minds of children across generations and across the  globe. In the 50+ years since “The Big Honey Hunt,” the Bear family has grown from three to five members, the Berenstain Bears have been translated into over a dozen languages, and over 300 million books have been sold worldwide.

In the latest book to land in our library, Missus Ursula and some Sunday school kids teach the cubs about the meaning of Easter beyond chocolate bunnies and marshmallow eggs. It’s simple and understandable, yet keeps with the traditional Biblical story of Easter. Plus, there’s a colorful sticker sheet included! If your kids like books in their Easter basket as much as mine do, this is a perfect basket-stuffer.

Visit Amazon to purchase The Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story!

Grab a copy for Easter Eve reading, or make it the centerpiece to your child’s basket. This is also a great one to donate to your local library or daycare reading center. You can’t go wrong with Berenstain Bears when you want a cute story with endearing characters that leave your kids with something to really think about.

When I was growing up, all through of my elementary school days we would watch movies and read books about the Berenstein Bears. Still at this age I’m still collecting books for my children.
