Salted Caramel and Pear Pastry Bites

I participated in the Mom Blog Tour at the Summer Fancy Food Show on behalf of Wendy’s Bloggers and received Stonewall Kitchen products to facilitate my review.

This morning, I had the best coffee and pancakes I’ve ever had in my life. I’m not even being dramatic. Those pancakes were the things dreams are made of (it’s the malt!) and they came straight from Stonewall Kitchen, along with the salted caramel drizzle on my coffee.

Stonewall Kitchen was one of the sponsors of the #MomBlogTourFF trip I took recently, but I’ve been a fan of their specialty foods for a long time now. I was originally drawn to their clean and pretty packaging, but once I tried a few of their jams and mixes, I was sold. Getting the opportunity to meet with them and learn more about the company at the Fancy Food Show was just the icing on the (pan)cake.

Stonewall Kitchen is headquartered in Maine, and started as a small business that sold their unique, high-quality food line at local markets, fairs and festivals. With products this good, word spreads fast, and today Stonewall Kitchen sauces, condiments, mustards, mixes and, of course, jams and jellies, are sold in more than 40 countries. With over 28 prestigious food industry awards under their belt, Stonewall Kitchen has proven that they know specialty foods.

And if I didn’t already know that, I surely did after visiting their booth at the show. It was only July, but the new intros for fall and the holiday season were everywhere!

Holiday Jam Stonewall Kitchen

Pumpkin, cinnamon, gingerbread, apple cider, chocolate peppermint – the flavors of the season were in full force and I didn’t know where to look first.

Stonewall Kitchen Butterscotch

The foodie in me was overwhelmed with inspiration, and I just tried to take it all in. I mean, how do I even tell you about all of it without just writing a mile-long list?

Suffice it to say that whatever it is that strikes your foodie fancy, Stonewall Kitchen offers it.

Stonewall Kitchen Sauces

Salsa varieties, grille sauces, simmering sauces in flavors from around the globe…(including my all time fave, Tikka Masala.)

Stonewall Kitchen Simmer Sauces

Stonewall Kitchen even has a line of household and bath items to keep your home looking and smelling just as good as their food tastes. Who knew they made candles and soaps? Aren’t they pretty? Totally guest-bathroom worthy.

Stonewall Kitchen Holiday Bath

It’s really impossible to choose a favorite Stonewall Kitchen item, but if I had a top five, this one would be in it: the Sea Salt Caramel Sauce. Salted caramel is definitely the flavor of the moment, and this sauce has the perfect blend of sweet, buttery caramel, smooth, velvety texture and just a hint of salt.

What can’t you do with a sauce like this? My first suggestion: eat it off a spoon. While locked in your bedroom.

My second suggestion: Pair it with one of the other best-tasting things on the face of the planet, a ripe, juicy pear.

With the holidays approaching, nobody has extra time to spend in the kitchen, but quality and flavor are non-negotiable. That’s why I paired these simple ingredients in a simple way for a bite-sized party app that’s simply delicious.
