A quickie holiday giveaway from Shutterfly!

It’s sad, but true. Zombies are eating my brain.

They really are. I blame them for lots of things that have been happening lately.

The countless leftovers I’ve left sitting on the counter all night long. My throwing a brand new sweater right into the super hot dryer. The wrong turn I took the other day that made me late for work.

…and the fact that I didn’t even realize I had the opportunity to offer a giveaway for 25 holiday cards when I did my Shutterfly post!

It’s the zombies, I tell you.

But my cerebral misfortune is your gain, because now I’m going to give them away in a superfast giveaway! 4 days only! (Time is of the essence when it come to holiday cards in November, after all!)

Enter in the comments section below to win 25 holiday photo cards from Shutterfly, my favorite place to order photo products online! (There will be TWO winners!) Just visit Shutterfly and leave me a link to your favorite card.

***This giveaway is closed. Random.org tells me that my winners are Julie with comment #16 and Danielle with comment #2! Thanks for entering, ladies! :)

For optional extra entries, follow me via GFC, Facebook and/or Twitter using the buttons in my sidebar, or tweet about this giveaway with a link once per day. (Make sure to leave your email address and corresponding usernames so I can confirm your follows, and the URL to your unique tweets. Thanks!)

Total possible entries = 8, including daily tweets. Good luck!…and look out for zombies. Those things are trouble.

Giveaway will end in only FOUR days on November 15th. I’ll choose winners via Random.org. I will notify winners via email, winners will have 48 hours to confirm win or new winners will be chosen.

Do you know ABE?

When it comes to blog hops, there is one person I trust to make each event a success. Jess from My Silly Monkeys started A Blogtastic Extravaganza (a giveaway hop) some time ago, and I’m excited to announce that ABE 3.0 is officially ON!

Here’s the button to prove it… :D

Photobucket

I’m even more excited to announce that I’m on the roster, and I’ll be hosting a big fat giveaway in January as part of the ABE team!

Jessica puts her all into this event, and it has become nothing short of a raging success. But my participation is about more than just a little bit of blog traffic. Since being a part of ABE, I’ve found fantastic brands I love, learned a ton about blogging and web stuff in general, and made lots of other bloggers that I can truly call friends.

There is still room on the list if you’d like to join the group, but hurry – the roster is limited to 100. All you have to do is host a giveaway with a minimum value of $100. If there is any one blog hop I’d encourage you to try to be a part of, it’s this one, fo sho.

So sign up today before all the slots are full, and get to know ABE! Just click on the button above and fill out the simple application form.

Tropical Traditions Antioxidant Natural Greens Review and Giveaway Ends 11/10

I think I might have superpowers, and you can have them, too!

Let me explain…

Eating healthy with NO fridge for 5 whole weeks? Nearly impossible! But now that the new fridge is in the hizzy, I finally feel like myself again! I went out and stocked up on tons of fresh fruits and veggies, but I think I may have gone a little overboard. So what to do with all the extras? Juice them! And since I have been feeling a little sluggish and tired lately, I thought I’d take a chance on a product designed to provide a boost of vitamins, minerals, plant enzymes, antioxidants, phytonutrients and essential Omega 3 fatty acids from cold-milled Golden Flax. (Phew! That’s a mouthful!)

Antioxidant Natural Greens from Tropical Traditions is a premium dietary supplement, featuring  3 different blends in one delicious and nutritious berry-flavored powder:

  • Quality Fiber Blend
  • Delicious Greens Blend
  • Organic Vegetable Blend

Now I’m definitely not an advocate of juicing or supplementing instead of eating a healthy diet. But since my diet contains lots of whole foods already, I thought it couldn’t hurt to add a little punch to my morning juice or smoothie, especially since it’s so easy to do. Just add a scoop of powder, and blend it in. It mixes easily, with no weird, powdery taste. And no artificial ingredients – because I have a strict no-tolerance policy for junky stuff in my health food, natch.

So, how do I feel? I feel good! Ok, so maybe not exactly like a superhero, but pretty darn good. A litle more alert, a little less pooped. Sure, that could be just because I’ve been making an effort to do something good and healthy for my body. That tends to make me feel better all on it’s own. And I’d hate to make any kind of health claim, because, well, we’re all different. But what I can tell you is that the pleasant berry flavor of TT Greens Supplement makes it truly easy to get used to, and it doesn’t ruin the lovely juices and super yummy smoothies I put it in.

And that’s KEY to a product like this because, as I’m sure you can guess, in order to reap the benefits, you have to be able to actually get the stuff down the hatch.

So, with Tropical Traditions, drinking green is easy! Score! :D Now, to figure out whether I can add my Floradix into my juice, too. (That really might catapult me into superhero status, and frankly, I’m not sure I am ready for that kind of pressure.)

ABE2 Sponsor Spotlight: The Soft Landing

Every once in a while, you find a company that just “gets it,” a company that shares your values and priorities on a fundamental level. For me, The Soft Landing is that company – and that’s why I’m thrilled to have them as my sponsor for A Blogtastic Extravaganza!

You shouldn’t have to be a rocket scientist to choose safer products for your family. ~The Soft Landing

If the statement above is music to your ears, we just might have a lot in common. :)

For years now, I’ve been on the hunt for simple, useful products that I can bring into my home without having to worry about the harm they might cause my family. It’s a shame, but today’s market is flooded with toys, baby items, kitchenware, etc. made from plastics that contain  BPA, PVC, phthalates, melamine, cadmium, lead and flame retardants.

So what’s a health-conscious and eco-friendly mama to do? Well, you could search high and low, research into the wee hours of the morning, and shop at 100 different stores looking for safe versions of the many things you need….

–or–

you could just do your shopping in one trusted place – The Soft Landing!

The Soft Landing was created to help busy parents navigate the sea of unlabeled mama and baby products. In short, they do all the work for you! They work with manufacturers to locate tons of products (primarily plastics, but also plush toys, mattresses, and more) that are safe, non-toxic and worry-free, and they bring them to you, all in one easy online shopping experience. You don’t have to read packages, or comb through product websites – just browse The Soft Landing’s online selection and buy what you like. It’s that easy! Read more about their commitment to your family’s health here.

And the stuff they sell is super cute! Sometimes, when you want toxin-free for your family, you have to settle for functionality over eye-appeal. Not so at The Soft Landing! You’ll find plenty of things in their online store (like bath toys, popsicle molds, storage containers, lunchboxes, sippy cups, etc.) that are cute, fun, and kid-friendly while still giving you the peace of mind you want.

For example…this Beaba Feeding Set, a Soft Landing exclusive!

I gave this set a test run, and I am just in love with it (and so is my son!) It’s a great quality set, and since it’s from The Soft Landing, I don’t even have to give a second thought to the fact that it’s plastic. I know that it doesn’t contain any of the icky stuff I don’t want.

Why we love it:

  • The bright, fun colors! (A total toddler magnet!)
  • The dish and bowl are deep and roomy, with soft, slip-resistant bases to keep them from sliding – whoops! – right off the table! (check out the close-up of the bases, below)
  • The cup, also slip-resistant, is the perfect size and shape for little hands.
  • The fork and spoon included are rounded and deep to keep food ON, and the fork isn’t so dull that it can’t pick up a bite of food (a toddlerware pet peeve of mine!)
  • The whole set is very sturdy and well-made to stand up to lots of use. And, it’s top-rack dishwasher safe!

This Beaba Tableware set has become a favorite in our house, and since my son has been using it at every meal, I love knowing that it’s perfectly safe for everyday use. As a mom, that kind of reassurance is something you just can’t put a price tag on.

What’s even better? The Soft Landing has offered my lucky ABE winner a Beaba Set of their own! (retail value $29.50)

That’s right! You can win this set during my ABE giveaway as part of my “Hungry Toddler” prize package, starting tomorrow! And, since you’re here now, you can leave me a comment below for an extra entry in the giveaway!

BONUS ENTRY: Just visit The Soft Landing, then come back and leave a comment on this post telling me another safe, non-toxic product you’d like to try from their wide selection, and you’re entered! (Just make sure to come back tomorrow and complete the mandatory entry.)

Good Luck!
