Now that our new baby girl is here, I want to tell the world! That means I really need to get my birth announcements sent out. And now that I’ve invested in a new camera, I’m a little photo-happy (to say the least.) This works out great since I’m completely in love with Shutterfly and their selection of birth announcements, cards, and photo gifts. I’m always on the lookout for coupons and we use them for easy, thoughtful, and affordable gifts all year long.
I’m not a top notch photographer (yet!), but I think I’ve gotten quite a few that will work nicely for my announcements. The problem I’m running into now is that Shutterfly has sooo many cute options to choose from that every time I get online to design them, I get overwhelmed, can’t decide, and put it off until later. With all the chaos of Halloween, extreme weather on the east coast, and my little man’s birthday, November 11th nearly slipped my mind.

My day job is in retails, so there is a lot of talk about holiday greetings this time of year. What exactly do we say to customers when they shop in our stores? The answer differs from company to company, but it is something I think about in my personal life, too.
Because we have friends and family that celebrate so many different holidays, we always send out very holiday-neutral cards in December. Each year, I browse the holiday selection at Shutterfly and I find more Holiday Cards than I could possibly imagine. Last year, I chose an autumn design and added photos of our boy playing in piles of leaves. But this year, I’m not sure. From religious, scripture-based cards to ones that just say “Happy EVERYTHING!”, Shutterfly has something for every card-sender’s style. Traditional, modern, funky – you name it, they’ve got it, and they add new ones each year.

It’s sad, but true. Zombies are eating my brain.
They really are. I blame them for lots of things that have been happening lately.
The countless leftovers I’ve left sitting on the counter all night long. My throwing a brand new sweater right into the super hot dryer. The wrong turn I took the other day that made me late for work.
