This post about gentle baby bubble bath was brought to you by aden + anais, who provided a sample product to facilitate my review. All opinions are my own and honest.
You may remember that we’re currently in the midst of a bathroom remodel. I’m working on another post that tells the whole story of that neverending DIY project, but for now, I’m just reveling in the thrill of a new family milestone: my kids’ first bubble bath in our new tub! The project is far from finished, but we do have a brand new tub and tile surround, so for the first time since little Elliette was born, I can now put both kids in a tub full of bubbles and let them play together! You may have seen my recent review of the HALO® SleepSack Swaddle, which we are still using 2 months later because I love the peace of mind it brings at bedtime. Well, I’ve since been asked to provide a review of another HALO product: the new SwaddleChange™, designed to make diaper changing easier and less stressful for both babies and parents. The HALO® SwaddleChange™ is a soft and comfy cover for your changing pad that features an attached, adjustable swaddle wrap to help keep baby secure and little hands under control when changing diapers.
So, after all that, I just have one question: Is this weird?
Diaper rash. What a pain in the…well, you know what.
As much as I loved using our cute, fluffy little cloth diapers with our son, I have to admit: we have suffered occasional bouts of diaper rash. Not too many, but when we got them they were awful! If our laundry routine failed us, or he happened to have poop against his skin for more than about 1.5 minutes, or I left him with someone who wasn’t used to the frequent changes required when you use cloth, my little man ended up with a red, inflamed bum. I tried my best to avoid it, but I wasn’t always successful…and it broke my heart.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not bashing cloth. We’re gearing up to use it again with #2 – I guess my point is that nobody is immune to diaper rash, and even if it is only occasional, it really sucks. So, what’s a mom to do? When rashes strike, you’ve gotta kick ‘em right away…and Boudreaux’s Butt Paste is your secret weapon to do just that.
