Your child spends about 3,650 hours sleeping in their bed each year. Conventional fabrics used to make comforters and blankets contain all kinds of chemicals, pesticides, and even highly toxic fire retardants. It is so important to invest in natural, non-toxic bedding for their well being when possible. Wouldn’t you agree it is more important than the latest toys, gadgets, or entertainment? That’s why the generous folks at Cozy Earth are giving one of you a chance to win this twin size bamboo comforter!

‘Tis the season for the holiday rush! It’s heading straight our way and we are about to get all wrapped up in the holiday spirit yet again! I’ll admit I was a scrooge for a few years, but now that my little one is big enough to “get it”, the magic is back for me! All except for the spending, that is – always a concern for all of us, I’m sure. But I’ve got a giveaway that will could certainly help make things much more jolly!
A few days ago, I received a really special package in the mail. It was something that I wasn’t sure I’d ever need.
My first pieces of baby clothing…for a little girl.
After our losses, and given the fact that I am creeping up on the big 4-Oh!, I truly thought I’d never have a daughter. But my son was such a wonderful gift that it didn’t really bother me. I just thought it was what it was.
But now that I am, in fact, going to be the mommy of a little lady, it seems that I’m going to need to learn a lot about “girl stuff!” Now, let me be clear: I’m not into gender specifics, and I don’t think for one second I need to dress a girl in frills and glittery pink. But I do want to figure out what kind of clothing I feel comfortable with until she can choose her own, the same way I did for my son.
So, when this package arrived from Zutano containing the sweetest little newborn outfit, the first thing I thought was, “Hmmm…pink can be fun! And bright! And funky paired with fun owls and sunny yellow!”
