After watching my daughter go through countless baby items that either: 1. Don’t get used, or 2. Only get used for a month until she outgrows them, I’m ready to shout from the rooftops when I find something that can last and be loved throughout the entire birth–toddler period.
Brace yourself: I’m about to start SHOUTING!
We’ve discovered the TinyLove Magical Night 3-in-1 Mobile! Continue reading
My little girl turned seven months old this week, which means it’s been about NINE months since I started trying to get my home office together.
When she was born, I had no idea I’d be quitting my job. But I was already starting to do a little freelance work, so it was very important to me that I have a working office. We took our front room in all of its mauve and gold glory and painted it the greatest shade of mustard yellow. I absolutely love it, but after our Little E’s early arrival, my vision came to a screeching halt. No matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to find the time to get that room in order. Just LOOK at this! Continue reading
Oh, the milestones just keep coming! This week, baby girl is up on her knees, on the verge of sitting up on her own and taking off crawling. Her first tooth broke through, and she’s been experimenting with food like avocado and banana. Such a busy girl, she barely has time to sleep these days –and sadly, she’s outgrown most of her SleepSacks!
Luckily, HALO® has some new SleepSack wearable blanket designs out just in time for fall. (Not that SleepSacks are just for fall. We use ours every night, year round!)
A little bit about HALO, and why we started off with the SleepSack Swaddle before graduating up to regular SleepSacks:
“HALO Innovation’s SleepSack® wearable blankets have become the standard for hospital nurseries and parents alike. In fact, 1,000 hospital nurseries use the HALO SleepSack Swaddle instead of blankets through the HALO Safer Way to Sleep Initiative. That is 1.5 million births getting first-hand, in-hospital experience with the HALO SleepSack Swaddle and safe sleep practices! Modeling safe sleep practices for parents in the hospital is the key to safer sleep practices at home. HALO Innovations also offers free Safe Sleep Practices kits to childbirth educators to help further the cause of SIDS prevention.”
As much as I would love to give my baby girl a snuggly soft blanket to cuddle up with at bedtime, I know she’s just too little and it’s not safe to have anything in her crib. That’s why I love SleepSacks. They give her the feeling of being covered up and snug, without endangering her with loose fabrics. And they’re breathable enough that she doesn’t get too hot or too cold in them. Once I put it on her, she immediately starts to cuddle. The switch goes off, and she knows it’s time to settle down with Mommy and go nite-nite. (That just might be my favorite part of each day.)
HALO SleepSack gives us both the comfort we need for a peaceful night’s sleep.
(I usually don’t share sleepytime photos, but she’s not actually sleeping here. Just playing and sucking her thumb. But don’t tell! )
We chose this sweet girls’ print with hearts, birds and flowers, but you can find all of the other new HALO SleepSack 100% Cotton Wearable Blankets on Amazon. They’re 100% breathable cotton, super soft, and wash beautifully (I think they get softer with each wash! Choose from sizes S–XL to fit your baby at any age.
To celebrate the new designs, HALO has offered to give away one SleepSack to a lucky ABCGP reader! (Enter using the easy Rafflecopter form below.)
