How can I be really, really sure that I’m not pregnant anymore?
The world has officially stopped revolving around ME. Ha! Just kidding! Well, kind of. It really is fun being an expectant mom. The whole world treats you differently, smiles at you, brings you food… But what’s it like to be an expectant dad? Different, for sure. Dads are excited, dads are proud…but dads also get overlooked sometimes. That’s why I was immediately interested when I found DaddyScrubs!

Lately, bathtime has us all smiling from ear to ear.
Well, Little E doesn’t smile much yet (at 5 weeks, she’s just starting) but I sure do! Especially when I see her snuggled inside her Blooming Bath - a big, bright, soft flower made to hold your baby safely in the sink during bathtime.
Isn’t it just the cutest?
But the benefits of the Blooming Bath go far, far beyond the cute. This is one of the smartest products I’ve seen in a long time, and it’s quickly risen to the very top of my favorites list. Continue reading
I’m so glad I’ve taken a trillion photos since our little guy was born three years ago. It’s so much fun to go back and reminisce about the days when my house was relatively quiet…
This photo is one of my favorites. It’s from the days when he was still tiny and using the baby bath tub. Can you imagine being so fascinated by a simple stream of water? Babies are sooo cool…
Bathtime was so much fun that I couldn’t wait until we could put him in the big tub and fill it with piles and piles of bubbles. Once he could sit up, that was the first thing we did…and it was a blast! Until a few weeks later when his skin starting getting red and scaly. It was eczema, and we narrowed it down to the bubble bath.
I was devastated to think we’d have to bathe bubble-less!
Luckily, a little research introduced me to Episencial, a safe and natural skin care line with products you can feel good about for both mom and baby. We ended up trying several of the products in their baby line, and adding them to our list of everyday must-haves. (Note: The name of the line has recently been changed to Babytime! by Episencial, mainly because it is easier to remember and spell, and it resonates more with moms. A really smart move, in my opinion. I love the new name!)
You know what’s really frustrating? When you have all the motivation in the world to get out and RUN, but there are big, fat snowflakes falling everywhere.
I’m just so ready for spring. Playing outside with the kids, planting the garden, running my butt off…all of it. A little simple sunshine would make me so happy! All winter I craved the sun, and since you can’t just take care of that craving at the drive-thru, I was pretty much out of luck. But, in the meantime, I did start taking vitamin D supplements while waiting for the sun to return. I have a friend who strongly believes in the benefits of D for immunity, and since I was so afraid of getting sick during the final months of my flu-season pregnancy, I upped my intake in an effort to stay healthy for baby and keep those winter bugs away. Thanks to everyone for all the help in choosing our birth announcements!
It really came down to the colors in the photo, and I love the way they came out!
Here is the winner:
and the back:
Of course, the text is not exactly what we used on the real announcements, and her last name is not really Awesomebaby (even though I think it should be!) but you get the jist.
What do you think? Do you like them?
Do you love Shutterfly as much as I do?
