What is Christmas in Hershey?
Christmas in Hershey is a magical, town-wide celebration that incorporates both old-fashioned traditions and exciting new additions every year. Come visit the town with the street lights shaped like Hershey’s Kisses as it turns into a winter wonderland for the whole family (and the chocolate is just the beginning!) There’s hardly a place in Hershey that isn’t decked out for the holidays, but you’ll want to start with a visit to Christmas Candylane, where the iconic park you know and love will greet you all dressed up in its holiday best!
Stroll through Christmas Candylane to visit real reindeer, ride rollercoasters, take a spin on the carousel while it plays holiday music, and so much more.
Travel Tip: While you’re in town, have breakfast or lunch with Santa at The Hotel Hershey, Hershey lodge or Hersheypark Place.
New this year to Christmas Candylane: 5 rollercoasters, a holiday-themed Laff Trakk and a new entertainment show: A Music Box Christmas in Hersheypark. Visit Hersheypark online for Christmas Candylane hours.
Travel Tip: Your local Giant Food Store carries discounted tickets at the customer service desk!
Keep your eyes peeled for seasonal treats you won’t find anywhere else. The hot chocolate will be flowing throughout the park, and if you’re a s’mores fan, you can’t leave without trying the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup S’more!
Travel Tip: Start a new yearly tradition and pick up a Hershey-themed holiday ornament right inside the park.
Hershey Sweet Lights
Located close to the park, you’ll find Hershey Sweet Lights, A Holiday Drive-Thru Spectacular. Talk about making spirits bright! This is one mesmerizing display you will want to take the whole family to see. It’s a true winter wonderland decorated with nearly 600 illuminated, animated displays that you can see right from your car as you wind your way through two miles of wooded trails. (Open nightly from November 11 – Jan 1, 2017.)
Hershey Theater: Holiday Musicals
Don’t forget to take in a holiday show at Hershey Theater, too! Catch Elf the Musical from from 12/6–12/ 8 or George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker™ from 12/17–12/18. Check the Hershey Theater schedule to see the whole lineup of shows for the holiday season.
