This post was brought to you by Gymboree who provided the products to facilitate my review. All opinions are my own and honest based on our experience with the products we reviewed.
You’ve never seen a beeline like the one I make toward Gymboree when I spot a new collection in the window. My eyes have been peeled for the new spring collections, and I was definitely not disappointed in what Gymboree had in store for us after allll that winter weather. The only problem I had outfitting the kids for spring was deciding which new collection I liked best!
For my 4-year-old son, we immediately grabbed the Shark Chambray Shorts and the Shark Terry Hoodie from the blue, green and orange Baby Boy Rock the Waves Collection. He had a blast wearing these on a recent family trip, and kept telling everyone we met, “I’m not really a shark. I’m just Finn with a shark sweatshirt on.”
We also picked up the navy blue striped Jersey Shorts from the same collection. True story: He wore them ONE time and they were so soft and comfy that we went back and got every color. They are seriously nice shorts for an active little boy, and the stripes are right on trend for the season.
A little tip for shopping at Gymboree: once your kids reach those in-between stages, check both the baby and kid sizes. Since the lines often coordinate, we were able to mix and match our baby boy items with the Shark Jaws Tee from the bigger boys’ line. Big thanks to the folks at Gymboree for making my life just a little bit easier.
Of course, we got our little lady all set up for spring, too. I immediately fell in love with the Pinwheel Pastels collection for baby girls. The sweet colors and breezy styles couldn’t be more appropriate for the warmer days ahead, and there were so many different tops that coordinate with items we already had from Gymboree! We picked up this bright Swiss Dot top and paired it with some leggings we already had from a previous line. (Again, yay for easy matching!)
Check out the precious back detail! I want a shirt just like this for myself!
Because the Pinwheel Pastels line is so versatile and coordinates so well with basic jeans and leggings, we loaded up on t-shirts. The winner by far has been this smiley Cotton Candy Sparkle Tee. I know it’s not obvious in the photo, but she really does beam when she puts it on, pointing out the pink bow detail to everyone she sees.
We couldn’t resist checking out some of the other collections, too, and the Sunny Citrus *somehow* just jumped into my basket! (Or, at least that’s what I told my husband.) I’m a huge fan of summer dresses just because they’re simple and easy, and my baby girl just falls into giggle fits when you put a new dress on her.
This Pastel Linen Dress from the Sunny Citrus Collection is one of my favorite pieces we’ve EVER gotten from Gymboree. It’s so soft and easy to wear, with breathable linen that will transition perfectly into summer. The design is so feminine and timeless that I’ve already decided to have her 18-month photos done in it!
So, I think we’re well equipped for the sunny days ahead, and our new Gymboree clothes will keep the kids well-dressed at casual playdates, family events and anywhere else spring and summer might take us. Now, I just have to choose a baby girl outfit for our huge 4th of July get-together!
Yup, Gymboree is already on it! The 4th of July collections have already released. What do you think – dress or romper? Help me decide by leaving a comment below, and be sure to connect with Gymboree on Facebook to keep up with current sales, promotions and new releases!
