Just in time to celebrate Mom, I’ve found a truly fun (and seriously unique) Mother’s Day gift! I’m loving the Teacarina for Mom this year!
The Teacarina is a true original: a combination teacup and ocarina that lets you play simple tunes between sips of your favorite hot drink. This instrument is a form of an ocarina, a pocket-sized wind instrument with roots in the dawn of history. Each product comes with an instruction booklet. Music is produced by blowing through an air chamber, changing pitch by fingering four holes of various sizes on the side on the cup.
Isn’t it pretty?
And if you think that’s pretty, listen to this!
I really wanted to post a video, but I haven’t quite mastered my Teacarina yet. It’s a goal, though, and I promise to post when I get there! I’m practicing with this Teacarina “sheet music.” The kids, on the other hand, are just freestyling…and it’s the cutest thing ever! They’re actually not bad at it!
Someday, I will have the time to sit out in my yard, beneath the mountain, playing my Teacarina (maybe not quite as quickly as in the video above ) after an hour or so of yoga. Sounds like a perfect Mother’s Day to me!
Teacarina is available on Amazon.
