The best tip I know for sticking to a whole foods diet? Shop the perimeter of the grocery store. That’s where the fresh foods live, so don’t go down those aisles! But let’s be honest – as much as we’d like to make every cracker from scratch, every mom needs a few go-to prepackaged foods for those days when homemade just doesn’t happen. For us, one of those options is Van’s Natural Foods.
We’ve tried lots of Van’s products before, but earlier this year, they launched their first gluten-free snack line with crackers, cereals and snack bars. Like all Van’s choices, these snacks feature high-quality ingredients without artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors or preservatives. They’re perfect for lunchboxes, road trips, or the secret pocket in my purse!

These crush my son’s snack attack every single time (if I don’t steal them first!)
Van’s Love Your Heart Waffles These Non-GMO Project-certified waffles feature 1 gram of heart-healthy soluble fiber, 34 grams of whole grains and is made from a mix of whole grains including whole wheat, barley, oats and more. Warm, yummy and deliciously heart healthy—talk about a loving way to start the day. We’ve been making “PB&J” sandwiches on these with nut butters and homemade preserves. It’s an easy breakfast that I can feel good about giving to my 4-year-old.
