My goals for 2014? Getting healthy, drinking more water, saving money, looking fabulous – they’re all in full swing with the help of our new secret weapon: Tervis tumblers!
Wait, what? Plastic cups? Yeah, I know. I don’t do much plastic. I was hesitant to try Tervis tumblers, but when it comes to water, I like a clear cup. My stainless steel bottles always leave me guessing about how clean they really are inside, plus Tervis makes a great looking cup that’s fun to carry (and I need all the help I can get staying hydrated.)
I’ve walked past these tumblers in my local Bed Bath & Beyond a million times, but then I tried one on a friend’s recommendation and I was immediately hooked. Tervis tumblers are made with a sparkling clear BPA-free plastic that you can feel safe using, and even better, they’re all made in the USA.
Tervis has a huge selection of wrap prints featuring everything from licensed Disney characters and your favorite superheroes to Hallmark designs, horoscopes, pro sports teams and artists’ series. This Trendy Bird wrap is my favorite (with the Bohemian Flower wrap behind it a close second…) It even fits the Glass Dharma straw that I use when I’m at home! Pretty combo, right?
It says, “Show me a day when the world wasn’t new.” A great daily reminder for a mom of 2 littles, like me!
I got my tumblers right before Christmas, which led to my giving a slew of them away to family and friends! I can’t think of a single person who couldn’t use one, and there’s a design for everyone. My son picked out a swimming goldfish design for my brother’s girlfriend, I sent 2 to my “Secret Santa” giftee, and my husband got a big 24oz mug covered in zombies!
He never puts it down! And speaking of putting it down, one of the best things about Tervis tumblers is that you don’t have to worry about your cup leaving water rings all over. Fill them with liquid (hot or cold), even with lots of ice, and there is NO condensation. As the mom of a 4-year-old, this is a huge selling point. Reminding him to drink his water is enough without having to worry about him leaving it sit on things like, say, the wooden blanket chest my dad made… (we still remind him to use a coaster, but it’s nice to not have to freak out about it.) Here’s my son’s tumbler, in the easy-to-grip wavy style:
And finally, I can’t let you go without mentioning the simple slide-to-open lids. SO easy to clean. On behalf of all moms who have run the gamut of yucky, hard-to-clean valves and weird-shaped plastic pieces that get super funky, I THANK YOU, TERVIS!
Tervis tumblers are available in a range of sizes, from 8–24 oz., as well as water bottles, mugs and goblets. Accessories like straws, lids, handles and more are also available. Check out more than 100 new reusable tumbler designs at Tervis.com, order Tervis on Amazon, or find them at local retailers like Bed Bath & Beyond.
