When it came to maternity clothes, I thought I knew what to expect when I was expecting. Obviously, I was wrong.
I thought everything looked the same. I thought nothing was flattering. I thought it was all expensive. And then I started looking online, and a whole world of maternity fashion opened up! And now, some of the most useful pieces in my wardrobe (for both work and weekend) are from Everly Grey Maternity.
The folks at Everly Grey heard my cries for maternity clothes that wouldn’t make me look like I belong in the circus, and came to my rescue with a few pieces from their new fall line.
The Eunice dress, available for $69.99, can be worn as a dress or a tunic (which I prefer). I found it a little too short to be worn as an actual dress, but it’s super comfortable over leggings. I’ll be able to wear this piece long after our little lady is born in February. The neckline is flattering, and the sleeve detail adds just enough to make it office-appropriate.
I also received the Sherman Sweater Wrap, which is available for $58.00 and comes in four different colors. If I find something that I feel good in, I often go back and get another in a different color, and it’s really nice that most of the pieces at Everly Grey come in more than one color or print. This particular sweater is the Space Dye, which goes well with basic black and has a nice shimmery thread throughout that will add just the right sparkle around the holidays. It’s flowy and big enough to be perfect for the later months of my pregnancy, and it can be belted high above the bump for a little extra accessorizing.
Finally, the Kelsey Printed Tunic, available for $58.00 comes in 2 fun, vibrant prints (this is the Tribal print) and works well with jeans or dressier pants for work. The cowl neck and button sleeves make me feel pulled together every time I wear it, and that’s always a challenge while pregnant, right?
The lightweight jersey fabric has a great amount of stretch, but doesn’t stretch out and fit weird like so many of the maternity clothes that hang in the back of my closet, unworn. (Stretched out/droopy = my biggest pet peeve!)
If you’d like to increase your maternity wardrobe with pieces that you can wear during your entire pregnancy, and even after baby is born, check out the rest of Everly Grey’s line of maternity and nursing clothes. While you’re there, check out the Everly Sweater! It’s going to be my next purchase!
Wait! Don’t miss your chance to win the Kelsey Printed Tunic (Tribal Print)!
